Bandit's on the Loose!

I like our wonderful journal writing!

Here we are working hard on sorting tree silhouettes based on shape. Trees can look like triangles, ovals, circles and all sorts of shapes.

EllaRae you are one cool chick! This Top Dog and her family brought in our first pet visitor a polish chicken named, "Bandit". Of all EllaRae's chickens this is her favorite!

Connor is wishing it away as Emily makes a close observation!

Hope you are enjoying this beautiful Saturday- I sure am!

Apple/Tree Investigations

Two very wise twins!

We used a pan balance to weigh our apples.
The heaviest apple weighed 20 blocks and the lightest weighed 11 blocks.

Did  you know apples are a lot like people?
Every apple looks a little different.
Some are red, or yellow, or green.
Others are a mix of colors.
Some apples are big.
Some apples are medium.
Still others are very small, but all are very special with a star inside!

We sorted, graphed, made an art project, read and made predictions all about trees and apples.
We read a book about the apple tree in all the seasons. We did puzzles with the shape of trees!
The most apples brought in today were red and the least brought in were yellow.

Thank you to Mr. Al ( Eli's grandpa) and  Mrs. Wade for all your help.

What Comes Next???????????

We are learning patterns can be sizes, shapes, colors, on animals, on clothes, on sailboats, on flags, carpet, in spiderwebs, on snowflakes and so much more. Look around and notice
patterns.

We worked as a team today  and did some sentence building. We had to put words in the right order to make sentences about apples.
REMEMBER TO BRING AN APPLE TOMORROW!!!!!
