Nihao!

Holly taught us how to write and say the numbers 1-10 in Chinese!

Giant Pandas live only in China.
They eat bamboo,85 pounds a day!
They are good swimmers.

We were so excited to hear all about Chinese culture and be part of a Chinese New Year parade.

The lion and dragon dances were amazing and performed by a small group of Big Bend 6th graders!

Mr. Waller even joined in!

Henry's brother Jackson is a trained dragon dancer!

Our lanterns added to the festive day.
Thanks so much to Holly's grandma Celine  for a one of a kind cultural experience!

Birthday Brownies!

Happy out of this world 6th birthday to Olivia!

This week is all about Mason!

We kicked off dental health week by working in teams sorting the good foods for teeth and the not so good.
We are proud of our students who brush everyday!

We are playing a special behavior game in class. Students can earn pretend paper dollars ( 1 or 2 per day) that they can spend in a class store on Friday.
Students clips get moved up and down all day based on choices they are making. Everyone was very motivated to play!

In math we are working on measuring and comparing heights.

Chinese New Year activities are planned for tomorrow .
Please have your child wear red.

On Ice

Check out the Waukesha Warhawks , very own Mac Wade! Our Top Dog brought his dad in to help him gear up to show off his favorite sport- ice hockey!

Math today had us in great shape. We noticed how many shapes can be made with lots of different shapes put together. We experimented with pattern blocks and paper patterns.
The students love our hands on math exploration.
