Today we read Cindy Ward's story , "Cookies Week". It is a story about a very naughty and curious cat! The story ends with a question, "It is Sunday maybe Cookie will rest?"
We answered that question by making our own class book. We loved sharing our ideas with friends and we can't wait to share it with you.

Welcome to the Club!

We are now part of the Superkids club.
All of the Superkids needed a place to meet for their clubhouse.
They were busy cleaning and fixing up an old bus for the perfect clubhouse.

We designed our very own Superkid's clubhouse buses.

Our buses hang proudly welcoming everyone to the club!
Everyone in Room 207 is a Superkid!

Smile Pretty!

A day of guessing. We learned animals have different teeth based on what they eat. Horse's teeth are flat for grinding. Crocodile's teeth are sharp for tearing. We lose our adult teeth and never get another, while sharks keep losing and growing new teeth their whole lives!

Our teeth and smiles make us unique.
We loved guessing our friends smiles.
Can you find your child's beautiful smile?

Read, Read, Read

Top Dog of the week- Olivia. She wants to be a singer when she grows up!

Here we are reading our  Superkids words. Please be sure you are practicing these lists at home.
They are the single most important piece of our homework.
We can tell who is practicing:) More lists will be coming soon!

Reading with partners.

Super sentence building. We worked together to find a naming part and a telling part to build a whole sentence.

We saw a plaque attack in action as we experimented with yeast and sugar. We recorded observations and made predictions.

Mac noticed yeast has a funny smell.

Hooray for Brody  who will represent our class as January's Big Bend school Top Dog!
