Sweet Surprises!

This version of the Gingerbread Man really stunk!

The Gingerbread Baby didn't get eaten at the end but instead found a great hiding place. Ask your child where the gingerbread baby hid.

Speaking of Gingerbread check out these cool 3D gingerbread houses the 6th graders made. We voted on our favorites and tried hard not take a nibble!

The students developed a plan first. Part of the challenge was creating a house to match the plan. Great work 6th grade!

Even Gingerbread people need friends!
The students made their own Gingerbread books. Have them read it to you tonight.

Thank you Grandma Daiker for the festive treat!
 (Cody your grandma is SWEET!)

Donuts make us happy:)
Thank you 4th-6th grade for the spirited vocal concert. We enjoyed watching our siblings, cousins, friends perform. We are ready to Fa-La-La-La-La!

All we want for christmas is our 2 front teeth!

Congrats on losing your first tooth Evie !
Everyday it seems someone is losing a tooth:) Lets keep some to eat all those yummy Christmas cookies!

Carly's superstar mystery bag  was-
it is soft, it is red and white and you wear it!

Hats off to Tayte who guessed her hat!

Big Bend's holiday gift shop is awaiting.  Cheap and cool items available for your child to purchase for Christmas gifts. Send in $ and a list if you would like your child to participate.

We were great listeners and colored in the numbers Miss Owen told us on a number grid.

We were so excited as we were figuring out if we followed directions it made a beautiful design- a Christmas tree!

Merry Grinchmas!

Today we read the Dr. Seuss Christmas classic.

Gettin our Grinch face on!

We talked about ways to make a grinch grin-
Tickle him- Leah
Hug him- Kloey
Give him a present- Keaton
Bake him cookies- Evie
Take him to church- Paige
Tell him a joke- Casey

I will keep smiling because after all these years of reading this classic I am still younger than the Grinch!
How old is the Grinch?
According to the story 53

Letters to Santa

Who's this mystery man?- Ryker with his mystery bag item.
It is hard.
You wear it.
It is for safety
It is very cool too!

With Mrs. Verhagen's help we began to write email letters directly to Santa. Some of us are bringing home our letters today! The rest will work on it again next week.

Thanks to all who have sent in dollars for Adopt a Family. Our school is almost at its goal.  If you haven't donated and wanted to or want to add more tomorrow  is the last day for the collection.

Santa please read this!

Mrs. Stein from the Big Bend Village library visited.  She read many Christmas books. We loved the one about a little girl that wanted to be Santa's helper and met lots of neat animals on the way to help. We loved the reindeer the best.
Mrs. Stein also invited all of us to  the Lions Club community center tomorrow night at 6:30 to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Ho, Ho ,Ho!
