Paper Maiche

Today we continued with our science unit by answering this question- "How can you make paper into a strong bowl?"
Our answer was a bit messy but a lot of fun. Thank you to Mrs. Bruhn  for leading this experiment.

Today was our last day with Miss Alyssa from the Junior Achievement program. She gave each child a certificate. They have enjoyed learning about money and banking.
Thank you for spending time with us Miss Alyssa!

These three builders were very busy today!

Math got a bit sticky........

Alyssa and Benson both giving us something to believe in, check out these shirts!

Love this shirt too!  Tiny but AWESOME!
Yes you are Miss Madison.

The students were excited for the final pedometer time of the year!

Gearing up to go.

Wow, there is so much to know and love about our superstar Norah!

In math the students used marshmallows and toothpicks to construct 2D and 3D shapes.
We will assess on this again next week, does your child know them?

The students enjoyed the free time to construct their own creations.

My make me laugh moment today.
I was reading with a child who was reading a challenging book to me. He looked at me and said, "whew, this is so RETIRING".
Tell me about it!
Just kidding- it is the things like that keep me loving teaching kindergarten everyday!

Plant a little seed

Just a reminder
Your kids are very excited!

Partner reading about Spring. We are bringing the story home tonight have your child read it to you.

Our superstar Cooper brought Climber, his pet bearded dragon to class. We thought it was a very cool pet.

We worked hard labeling the parts of a plant. We planted flowers yesterday in class, we can't wait to see them grow!

Speaking of flowers, check out these two blooming beauties!

We couldn't believe that we actually can eat every part of a plant!

If you haven't been into school here is our lobby dedicated to parent volunteers. I am glad that you  have all been part of  our kindergarten team this year!
Your help and dedication to school and your children is amazing.
Thank you for all your support!
Happy SPRING weekend (finally!)
Ms. Johnson
