G'Day Mates!

The day started off real good with Kaitlyn and Kendyl both moving on to track 2 in sight words. Lets hear it for the girls!!!

AND lets hear it for this boy-
Dominic raced on to track 2 too!!!!!!

Then we traveled around the world for an Australian Christmas. Their flag is the same colors as our flag but in a different pattern.
Australia celebrates their Christmas in the summer with Santa in shorts, sand snowmen and  a day at the beach!

It is too hot for the reindeer to pull the sleigh in Australia. So they take a break while  some other Australian animals take over. Click  below to find out!

Little Deers

Today we learned about reindeer.
They are different than regular deer because..............
The boy and girl deer have antlers- Kylie
They click when they walk- Dominic
Most important is they are the ones that can fly and pull Santa's sleigh!
We even listened to Santa tell us about his reindeer. You can watch by clicking here!

We have been enjoying many of Jan Brett's books.

Santa Cams went to Riley and Mya- good work!

Unfortunately we do not have flying reindeer- everyone drive safe and stay warm!

Oh, Symme-tree, Oh symme-tree!

Today in math we learned about symmetry.
There is a lot of symmetry in nature!

We were treated to the 1st,2nd,3rd grade Christmas concert. It was fun to see our siblings, cousins, friends and past students jingling in the fun!

Santa Cam  thought Dominic and Henry K. showed very respectful audience behavior at the big show!
We saw a lot of  disappointing behavior today.  We know Christmas crazies, indoor recess and a full moon doesn't help BUT.........
Please remind your child to do their very best. We want to spend our last 5 days of school learning and having fun safely and respectfully.
