So Much to Smile About

Today we began FAST testing on letters, sounds, rhyming and more!

So EXCITING!!!!!!!!!!
Today due to our awesome resting all week we earned a "movie day" rest and enjoyed a
Magic Schoolbus!

Talking teams give us a chance to share with friends. We learn respectful listening skills and love to hear what everyone has to share. Today we talked about the fun things you can do in the summer.

Today and every Thursday is library. Please be sure to return books every Thursday so your child can select a new one.

Shaping Up!

We are lucky to live in the United States of America.
We wear red, white and blue to salute our country and the brave men and women who protect it. 
Patriots Day, never forget.

Today we learned the difference between letters and numbers.
We sorted letters and numbers as a class and then on our own.

In math we used pattern block shapes to make designs.

We played a game. Mrs. Sackmaster would give us a clue and we would find and hold up the shape. 

We have come a long way since last week. 
School is a very happy place!

Chicka, Chicka Boom Boom.....................

Today we began our kindergarten reading program with our first "Superfriend", Cass!

Ask your child what Cass likes to do.

We also have been getting to know each other's names and are practicing writing our own names the kindergarten way. The only big or capital letter is the first one. Please encourage name writing this way at home.

In math we compared lengths of paper to match up with other classmates and learn more about our friends.

Add in  music and gym and today was a very busy day.

School sure can tire us out.

Sebastian and Donovan were definately today's best resters!

Celebrating!

We are Official Kindergartner's!

There was laughter, smiles, confusion, wandering, great choices and not so great choices, yummy lunches, fun recesses, a downpour, song, sun, music, gym, library , art, success, friendships, stories, yawns and  even a few tears, but we did it!!!!!

Collaboratory was so much fun today. We built with brackets, legos, duplos. tiles and came up with some  very cool  creations.
