Write on Writers!

Today we read another gingerbread tale,  Jan Brett's "Gingerbread Baby." We did a story map about the characters, setting, problem and solution. 

Here we are working on our daily dictation. Mrs. Sackmaster gives a word all the students write the word and then someone is chosen to write it on the big board. 
Today's words were doll, glad, glass,  lip gloss, and two sentences, Doc is sad. and  Cass slid.
Try to have your student write these at home, you will be amazed!

In math we worked with calculators. We learned some of the signs, talked about why you use them,  put in numbers and even added.
