An out of this world day!

On Tuesday we enjoyed a zoo presentation on animal athletes.
We learned a peregrine falcon is the fastest animal flying to speeds up to 200 mph.
We learned a cheetah is the fastest animal on land.
We learned a prehensile tail helps monkeys swing so well in the trees.

This is a model of the size of a gorillas hand. Needless to say none of us could measure up.

We enjoyed moving like animals who fly, crawl, slither, swing and run.

A real snake skeleton!

A special visitor- Sheldon the turtle!

What an exciting day to write about. It is Kloey's birthday and Ryker is back from Florida.

Cianna had a super estimation bag. First we estimated then we ate candy kisses!

Our birthday girl had an awesome day as she moved on to second base in her sight word book. That makes 9 kids who are off to a running start.

Group writing our pet fish stories.

We have really had fun learning about and sharing our pets!
Next week we start focusing on friendship, valentines and our 100th day of school (Feb. 8th!)
Please remember to send in one paper grocery bag for your child by Monday.

Kloey's birthday treat was truly out of this world!

Featured Pet:
This is Levi.
She is a 4 year old girl that lives with Cooper's family.
She loves treats and hiding.
She is special because Cooper's family got her from the humane society.
