Groundhog Day!

Checkout where the Aber family was last year.  Kloey and her family were lucky enough to visit
the most famous groundhog- Punxsutawney Phil in Pennsylvania.
In Science today we learned about groundhogs.
They are great diggers- Cooper
Their underground home is called a burrow- Keaton
They are also called woodchucks- Tayte
They eat trees, plants and flowers- Carly
Beavers and woodchucks have different tails- Gabby
Groundhogs whistle if they are in danger- Jake
Sometimes groundhogs are called whistle pigs!

Will the groundhog see its shadow? On our class graph one student predicted yes. Most thought it would not.
You need the sun to see a shadow- Benson
Guess what...

Two groundhogs in Wisconsin did not see their shadow on ... Wynter, the Milwaukee County Zoo's resident groundhog, also did not see ... the celebrity rodent did not see his shadow in Sun Prairie either.

Our superstar! We loved learning all about you Paige!

Today in math we focused on the subtraction symbol and what it means. We really loved playing a math game called disappearing train to practice our subtraction skills.

Meet 8 year old Chloe.  She loves to play and wag her tail when she is happy. Chase and Norah think she is special because she gives lots of kisses!
