Goin Batty!

Our class is going batty for bats!

We played a game on the SMARTboard that had us reading words from the "at" word family to reveal bat pictures!

Twinning. Mrs. Sackmaster and  Connor felt a bit gray ( and stripey) today.

We got a little messy making bats with our own handprints.

Owen's grandma and Auntie make him smile!

In math we used sorting mats to sort objects by attributes. Sophia sorted by shape.

Maddie sorted by color.

Camryn sorted by size.

Mac sorted by type of animal.

Connor sorted by land and sea animal.

We sorted it all out!

We took a class survey and found out most of our class likes bats.
We don't think they're scary,
We don't believe it's true.
They eat up mosquitoes so they don't bite you!

Did you know a single bat can eat up to 2,000 insects a night?

I had a great time at lunch with Owen Poetz, and then latter, visiting with His Sister Addy who is in 4th. grade, during Her lunch. Then we visited the book fair where they they each bought 2 books with money that they earned doing chores at home. It's a very nice school. Owen's Auntie
