In science we read this Raz kids story. Many things in our world are made of wood. Then we asked the question, "How can we change the shape of wood?" The kids had great ideas, saws, axes, knives, even a lawn mower! We took a safer route- sandpaper!
We made many observations . Our wood was changing shape.
The tiny pieces flying off as we sanded are called- sawdust!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
It was fun working with big buddies from the 6th grade today!
